Too direct → better:

지금 보내 주세요.jigeum bonae juseyo. — Send it now. → 가능하시면 오늘 중으로 보내 주실 수 있을까요?ganeunghasimyeon oneul jueuro bonae jusil su isseulkkayo? — If possible, could you send it today?

Fix pushy tone, vague timing, and honorific mismatch:

Good vs too direct

Use this when you want extra respect or distance (cross-team, vendor, senior stakeholders), or when you’re following up a second time. It can sound stiff if you use it with close teammates all day; that “too formal” feeling is the main trap.

Too direct → better:

확인해서 답 주세요.hwaginhaeseo dap juseyo. — Check and reply. → 확인해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.hwaginhae jusimyeon gamsahagetseupnida. — I’d appreciate it if you could check.

Next steps

Pick the level first (relationship + urgency), then write the sentence.
Add a timeframe every time: 오늘 중oneul jung / 금주 내geumju nae / 1월 3일까지1wol 3ilkkaji.
Match honorifics to the person: use -시--si- and prefer 주실jusil / 주시면jusimyeon for workplace DMs.
Soften the push: start with 혹시hoksi or 가능하시면ganeunghasimyeon when you can.
Keep it one ask per message, and if it’s a second follow-up, add a face-saving line like 누락되었을까 하여nurakdoeeosseulkka hayeo.
If you need a firmer nudge, make the deadline clearer—not the tone harsher.
